Over the next ten years, approximately 1,700 apartments will be renovated in Uppsala. How to do this while working towards climate neutrality? Uppsalahem launched a pop-up store of recycled furnishings and appliances in an empty restaurant space. When properties are being renovated or refurbished, property technicians and craftspeople can check in the pop-up store for recycled items rather than buying new.
“Every item that is used for a second time in our apartments is a win! We save money, but above all, we’re saving CO2 emissions,” explained Anton Forsberg, Property Manager at Uppsalahem.
