Sankt Peter: Host Service for Older Tenants

At the Sankt Peter housing complex, LKF ensures that all tenants feel confident, secure and supported in their living environment. A host service, included in the rent, provides a robust programme of social activities while also assisting residents who may require additional support or guidance.

A host service for additional support

Sankt Peter consists of 36 apartments designed for people aged 65 and over. Ideally located in central Lund, the complex is in close proximity to essential services, including a health centre, a dentist, and a well-stocked grocery store.

Every resident benefits from the host service. The host plays a crucial role in creating a feeling of security and community by organising activities and events based on tenants’ interests.

For many, the presence of the host provides reassurance. The host also assists residents with practical matters, such as:

  • Providing information about activities and services in the area
  • Helping with contacts to necessary authorities, such as the municipality

The host service is operated by Lund Municipality.

A meeting point for social activities

Next to the St. Peter building is the Laurentiigatan meeting point, run by Lund Municipality. The community centre offers a variety of activities tailored for older residents, including sports, crafts, and games. Visitors are also encouraged to form their own groups based on their personal interests.

The St. Peter complex is therefore ideally located to encourage the active involvement of residents in broader community life in Lund.
