We are pleased to invite you to the Eurhonet Leadership Summit, which will take place on 16–17 June 2025 in Brussels. The Leadership Summit is open to CEOs, Board members, and top management teams of Eurhonet members organisations. It is an excellent moment for networking and developing strategies together to futureproof our organisations.
With the appointment of the first-ever European Commissioner with ‘Housing’ in his title, it is the opportune moment for us to hold our Leadership Summit in Brussels, the heart of the EU. In partnership with Housing Europe, the first day of the Summit will focus on significant political developments in the EU.
EU policy developments
We will learn more about the views of Dan Jørgensen – Commissioner for Energy and Housing – and the work of the ad-hoc European Commission Task Force, which aims to bring coherence to the EU’s fragmented housing strategies. We will also learn about the progress made by the European Parliament’s Special Committee on the Housing Crisis that was set up at the end of 2024.
Collaboration with city-level stakeholders
With this new European framework in place, public and social housing providers must seize the opportunity to actively engage in upcoming developments. Strengthening cooperation with city authorities is therefore more important than ever to foster inclusive, sustainable, and resilient communities. We will hear from a diverse range of city-level stakeholders – in areas from energy transition to resident engagement – to explore the key opportunities for public and social housing providers to have their say.
Challenges in the public and social housing sector
On the second day, we will build on these updates and reflect on the key challenges and opportunities the sector is facing. Considering that we elected a new President and renewed our Council Administration at our last General Assembly, it seems timely to work together to develop a new work plan for Eurhonet for the years ahead. This is a pivotal moment to discuss the latest developments in the sector and craft future-proof strategies for our organisations and network as a whole.
