On 23–24 April 2026, the newly founded Financing Topic Group will gather for a two-day kick-off meeting.

Over the course of the meeting, we will exchange experiences, identify common challenges, and explore practical solutions to strengthen investment in the sector.

Day 1: Exchange & European Perspectives

The first day will focus on getting to know each other and our respective organisations. This session will provide space to better understand the different national contexts represented and to share current approaches to financing.

We will also engage in a discussion with colleagues from Housing Europe on how social and affordable housing is financed across Europe, offering a broader European perspective on funding models and mechanisms.

Day 2: Barriers, Solutions & Future Priorities

On the second day, we will identify barriers to investment and explore innovative solutions together.

Building on these discussions, we will jointly draft a work programme for future meetings and define the expected outcomes of our collaboration.
