For the second Ageing Topic Group meeting of the year, Eurhonet members will be heading to Épinal, France. We will kindly be hosted by Vosgelis, and we look forward to sharing many experiences and best practice.
The Ageing Topic Group focuses on removing the barriers that prevent older people from ageing independently in homes. In addition, our Topic Group members examine ways to create communities that facilitate inclusion and age-friendly housing adapted to the needs of older residents. We believe that all tenants should have the same opportunities to make connections, benefit from services, and choose their way of living.

Age-friendly communities
In Épinal, we look forward to learning from colleagues at Vosgelis. To spark discussions, we will hear about Vosgelis’ strategy to meet the needs of older residents, with a focus on housing adaptability.
Through field visits, we will be able to see first-hand how Vosgelis has worked towards age-friendly communities. We will visit an apartment that has been adapted to loss of autonomy and meet with participants of an inclusive housing project. In addition, we will explore how an educational apartment can help to facilitate independent living for older people.
With plenty of opportunities in the programme for collaborating, sharing ideas, and exchanging experiences, this will be a great change to learn from each other.
