The Digital Communication and Technology in Housing Topic Group will be holding an online meeting on 18 March, 10:00-12:00 CET. The theme will be digital accessibility, an important issue for all public and social housing providers.
We will welcome Professor Gottfried Zimmerman, Director of the Competence Center on Digital Accessibility at Stuttgart Media University. Professor Zimmerman will give provide insights on digital accessibility to guide our discussions. We will explore accessibility for both employees and tenants and hear case studies of successful accessibility projects, including from the City of Munich.
The mission of Professor Zimmerman’s work is to “facilitate the design of Information and Communication Technology applications that are useable and enjoyable by everybody, including people with disabilities and older people.” We look forward to hearing his insights and reflecting on how we can promote inclusive practices in our respective specialties.
The online event will provide a great opportunity for our member organisations to present their current projects, allowing us to use our collective experiences to tackle our challenges. We look forward to sharing expertise on digital accessibility in public and social housing.
