For its last meeting of the year, our Ageing Topic Group members are gathering on the 19-20 November in Munich, Germany, hosted by our members Münchner Wohnen.
Our Ageing Topic Group examines how to remove barriers that prevent older people from ageing independently in their homes as well as how to create communities that facilitate inclusions and are adapted to the needs of older residents.

Housing Solutions for Older Tenants
During this meeting, participants will have the chance to hear more about Münchner Wohnen’s projects for older residents, reflect on the initiatives developed in their own companies and exchange knowledge on successful implementation.
The meeting will include a study visit to the housing project “Stiftungssiedlung Alte Heimat”.
This initiative, managed by Münchner Wohnen, consists of over 350 apartments for older people in Munich’s Laim district. In order to foster solidarity and social cohesion, a neighbourhood centre provides space for exchange, participation and civic engagement among residents. Moreover, multiple programmes and events help combat social isolation among older residents and support a vibrant neighbourhood,
